About the Rhodes Jordan Building
Our beautiful building
Lil’ River Grill is located in the Historic Rhodes Jordan Building. Originally constructed in 1908 to be a General Merchandise Store, the second floor soon became the Lawrenceville Telephone Exchange.
For nearly half a century Rhodes Jordan watched over the courthouse square from the second floor of our building. Upon returning from law school in Atlanta, GA. Rhodes Jordan established his law practice on the second floor. Following in the tradition of his grandfather and father who were both Lawrenceville City Councilmen, Rhodes Jordan went on to serve eight non-consecutive terms as the city’s mayor.
